Ambient air—Automatic determination of ozone—Chemiluminescence method (HJ 1225-2021), a new national standard issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environmental of the PRC, was officially implemented on March 1st, 2022.
Compared to the previous national standard——the UV absorption method, the chemiluminescence method, is characterized by strong selectivity and high measurement accuracy. The UV absorption method measures the concentration of ambient ozone based on the absorption of the significant characteristic UV light on the wavelength of 254nm. VOCs in the air (including PAMs and TO15, etc.) will also have interference in the actual measurement. The chemiluminescence method can monitor ozone concentration by measuring fluorescence light intensity, effectively avoiding the interference of such substances, so its measurement accuracy is higher.
AQMS-350 Ozone Analyzer
The AQMS-350 is an FPI independently developed ozone analyzer based on chemiluminescence technology, used to detect and evaluate the O3 concentration level of one of the environmental air quality parameters (SO2, NO2, CO, O3, PM2.5, and PM10). This analyzer can measure the concentration of O3 in ppb~ppm level, with strong anti-interference capability, high repeatability, and accuracy. Meantime, its measuring data and condition information such as default, temperature, flow, pressure will be automatically transmitted and inquired. It is convenient and accurate for competent departments to estimate the air quality.
Principle
The compound molecules absorb chemical energy and are excited to an excited state. When the excited intermediates return to their stable ground state, the energy is released in the form of light quantum, and the material can be quantitatively measured by monitoring the photon intensity.
